Soft Kitty Warm Kitty Acapella
the rambler, the gambler
Armand Lee, a horror fanatic and reblogger of all things I enjoy. I don't need to get specific. It's my Tumblr. I say things like SWAG and YOLO just to piss people off. I think Blurred Lines is a pretty cool song and I think Miley Cyrus is hot. (Do you hate me yet?)
Soft Kitty Warm Kitty Acapella
Got some more sand for the hermit crabs. When I first bought them, the woman said that I only needed about an inch and to spray water in their tank ten times every morning.
Lately, I’ve learned that I need six inches and to maintain constant humidity, which I’ve been doing. They seem a lot happier, even if two have died since I started this out. :c
wow there’s actually a blog for women against feminism
i don’t even understand
is it satire or
well i guess opposition is everywhere, whether we like it or not, and social networking makes it easier for their voices to be heard just as much as ours. so i can’t complain. i’m just. you know. in shock.
wait wait wait
Okay, so I can get that there are people as equally upset as me for being hated just because I’m a guy. I get that there’s an unfair, general hatred of men that isn’t cool. I don’t just mean “I hate that men have power and women don’t” because that’s a legitimate thing and I hate that too. I mean literally “men are such inferior stupid human beings we should burn them all” or “no one cares that a man experiences low self-esteem because he’s not a woman and it’s not valid” which I personally have encountered. When I say that I hate the general hatred of men, I mean I hate that there are some people out there who literally think the world would be better off without men. Because that’s not true, and our genders (and everyone who defies the gender binary) should all coexist and never pressure another person or hate anyone based on gender or anything.
Now, to be clear, I encountered all of that as a woman, as well. “Clearly you’re stupid because you have a vagina” and someone actually once told me “at least half the people in this room want you to flash them.” I know how degrading men can be towards women, and I know how long this battle has gone on. And coming from both sides, I know that preaching hatred is not the answer — but I also know, from experience, that the women who loathe men because they truthfully and honestly think all men are stupid and incapable of bringing about equality are few and far between.
There are people out there who argue for MEN’S RIGHTS?
Um. Do people not realize that men pretty much run the world as it is? No, women aren’t going to magically stomp around on men and dictate everything we do once equality is actually achieved. That’s not how it works, because women are not sinister beings waiting to finally rise up from the depths of hell with their pitchforks of agony and doom and scream “MY BUTCH STRAPON WILL GO UP YOUR ASS LET’S SEE HOW YOU LIKE ANAL YOU DICK HAHAHAHA”
If we’re really going to achieve equality, you assholes need to stop thinking with fear and start realizing that men and women (and everyone inbetween) are all human beings and deserve the same level of equality. That means the same pay, the same respect, and the same rights. Granting total equality to women is not going to make us inferior. The very few women who do want men to be inferior aren’t for equality. Most feminists are and all women want is not only to be seen as equals, but to be understood and regarded as equals. It’s not that fucking hard.
Women are not threatening your lives.
Letting a woman live her own goddamn life free of pressure from your dick is not going to ruin your chances of being a man.
I don’t get how people can draw the conclusion that “woman + equality = world domination by dominatrix boots.”
Actually, I do. Because that’s how white cisgendered men think — that anyone at their level has the ability to take over the world and fuck shit up.
This isn’t about you. Stop making it about you. This is about women being equal, not about maintaining your testosterone-filled need for dominance.
Cisgendered white guys need to get the fuck over themselves sometimes. Jfc.
I’m a transguy. Big whoop. But there was a time in my life where I was very conflicted about my gender identity even though I didn’t know it was my gender identity that I was conflicted about. I didn’t even know there was such a thing as being transgender. All I knew was that I felt like I didn’t belong in my body and so I tried different fashion styles — goth, punk, prep, and eventually fell in love with Dita’s vintage style.
I became obsessed. Not necessarily with her, but with the philosophy behind her entire profession. She’s a beautiful, intelligent woman who not only speaks for women but lives for women.
People call Dita anti-feminist. I strongly disagree. I mean, I can understand how some people draw that conclusion — they think that her profession is strictly for pleasuring men or whatever. I still disagree, and I think Dita’s a very strong role model for young women to have.
Her philosophy? Do what you want with your body because it’s your body and you’re beautiful. Whatever weight you are, however you look, and however you dress does not define you as a person. Your sexuality does not define you as a person. Express yourself as you want, because there is always going to be someone out there who’s going to dislike you regardless. And you know what? It doesn’t matter what they think. You’re doing what makes you strong and what makes you feel great, so why care what anyone else thinks?
Dita has proven that wearing makeup and wearing lingerie under your clothes does not make you any less valuable as a woman. She has proven that intelligence, beauty, success, and grace all work together. She has proven that if you want surgery, fucking get it, because it’s your body and you do what you want with it.
Dita has proven that you have the final say in what you do with your life. That includes your appearance, your education, and your sexuality.
I may be a transguy, but my exploration of female fashion has led me to Dita, and I couldn’t be any happier. Dita is one of the many powerful women out there. She promotes equality in all body shapes and has expressed, time and time again, that there is no pressure to do any one thing to feel like a woman. Whatever makes you feel good, you do — because fuck what society says. Society doesn’t know you. You know you. And you know what makes you feel like a powerful woman.
Dita has helped me realize that there are more people out there like me — people who think that it’s about damn time women stop being shamed for having a sexuality. People that don’t say “she wants bigger boobs because she’s a slut” but rather “she wants bigger boobs because its her body and you need to get the fuck over it.” People that don’t think a woman who wears makeup is “fake” but rather a woman who wears makeup is doing what she wants with her face and you need to get the fuck over it.
It may seem like such a simple thing, but in the long run, it’s not. While I dislike the general hatred of men, I dislike the hatred of women just the same. I believe in total gender equality — and I’m a firm believer that if a man gets to dictate whether or not a woman gets an abortion, a woman gets to dictate what happens to a man’s reproductive system. I’m an even firmer believer that one gender does not get to dictate what happens to the other.
Still that’s happening today. Anti-abortion laws are popping up everywhere, and they’re written by men. So while Dita’s message may not seem like that big of a deal, it really is.
It’s your body. Do what you want with it, and everyone else can get the fuck over it.
